Experience
I tutored undergrad Sociology students for one year at Northeastern IL University, My priority was freshman but I saw students from all four years and various courses. My ACT score was 25 I have been teaching in an adult high school program for the last six months and I love it. I really enjoy working with students and it is fun to revisit the material that I learned in high school. I have been teaching ESL for the last two months and it is rewarding on so many levels. my group is very small, which I prefer because it allows me to tailor the lessons to the student's needs. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for teaching, I am already teaching for my grad program, and it would be great to use my talents to make a living, so i can teach as much as possible.

Hobbies
I am a grad student, so studying and teaching take up a good chunk of y time. I am attending classes at a community center in Albany park, because the second part of my degree is centered around community organizing. My organizing work focuses on providing more access to health resources for the Latino and undocumented residents. The rest of my time is spent cooking, I really enjoy it and as a vegetarian it is necessary for me to have delicious, healthy meals. I am also a proud cat mom which is a great source of joy in my life. My personal interests are social justice oriented, and i have a deep passion for popular education.
