Graduated 2008 from the Latin School of Chicago Majoring in Visual and Critical studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Plan on graduating with BAVS degree in 2012.
Experience
I have exceptional writing skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills. I' am good at helping children plan essays or set up study guides for tests. I' am also good at walking children through simple equations specifically in the fields of Algebra and Chemistry. I myself struggle with Learning Disabilities and would love to help your child learn how to over come those struggles and complete their assignments through simple steps and goals. I am currently majoring in Visual and Critical Studies at SAIC, and this has equipped me with an astounding knowledge of essay research, planning, and writing. I am a clear thinker, well organized, and most importantly I know how I learn and what it took to figure that out, a process I am willing to work through with your child, so that they may figure it out for themselves. I am also a trained camp counselor and certified in CPR and First Aid and more than prepared to help your child incase of a serious emergency.

I love working with kids, even more so I love working with kids while their in the creative process of learning. I was diagnosed with Learning Disabilities (LD) in spelling and reading as a child and over came many obstacles when I entered the educational system. My mother is a tutor who specializes in LD's and she taught me simple tricks to over come these problems when I was young, and these tricks helped me to grow as both a student of Academia as well as a curious individual. I want to pass on these skills to children who are struggling in school in specific fields or with learning and homework in general. I've found that I work best with Visual learners (meaning children who seem to learn more when it is written on a chalkboard as opposed to an Auditory learner, someone who learns better from the spoken word). I am also a skilled artists and extremely creative, which comes in handy to parents who may have to leave their children with me for more than just tutoring, but also babysitting, which I offer depending on the circumstances.
