EducationTexas A&M University: BS in Physics
University of Texas Medical Branch: Medical Doctor
ExperienceI graduated from Texas A&M University with two degrees: Physics and Biochemistry. I did physics because I enjoyed it, and biochemistry for medical school (now doing a radiology residency). I took the MCAT, and scored a 15/15 on the physical sciences portion. I have been doing physics tutoring on/off for the past 4 years, and have really enjoyed it. Even though I am able to tutoring at almost any level in physics up till end of college, my special interest is in MCAT physics. I have done this with many students and seen their scores improve dramatically. I especially like the Princeton Review physics program.
I also graduated with a math minor (as that's a necessity in physics), so I am able to tutor various math subjects as well.
My tutoring style is variable, and I can adjust based on different needs. I think the best way is via the read-then-questions technique, so that's usually my preference.

Great tutor, really simplified physics concepts for me. Made things easier to understand. Fun to work with. Highly recommended!
Varun was an excellent tutor. He helped me with MCAT physics, and really simplified the concepts for me. He is very easy to work with and flexible with timings. He was easy to get hold off, and always responded to my email within hours. For tutoring, his teaching style is flexible: he said he could adapt whichever way you would prefer, and he lived up to this expectation. I like going through passages with him, and then he would explain both why something is right and why something is wrong. Overall, an excellent tutor and would definitely recommend him.
