ExperienceAs a teacher and a tutor I am patient, understanding and creative, doing everything I can to help you or your child learn the material to the best of their ability. With over 2,000 hrs in math tutoring alone, I have developed numerous skills and techniques over the years that have been proven to work. My most recent GMAT score of 760 is in the 97th percentile and included the most recently added sections.
Currently, I live in Chicago (Rogers Park), with my wife, just 2 blocks from the Morse Blvd stop on the Red Line area and tutor most students in my home. If you prefer, I am willing to travel to you at no extra cost.
Feel free to give me a call or send an email, I can provide references from past students or colleagues if needed. The first hour is free of charge, as it is mostly to assess your skills and weaknesses (and also for you to assess mine!) and for us to see if we'll work well together as a team. I'm also available to tutor via Skype or Google Hangouts at a reduced rate.

John was very knowledgeable, patient and knew a lot of the tricks to beat the GMAT that I had never heard of in my books or classes. I'd definitely recommend him.
Prompt response to initial request for a tutor and maintain contact throughout, providing timely input into what my daughter required. We only had 2 sessions as my daughter's college provided a tutor but would recommend for other students.
John is an excellent tutor. He does a wonderful job of explaining concepts and providing ways for you to practice what you have learned. My daughter raised her ACT score from a 23 to a 30 over the 4 months they met together. I highly recommend John as a math tutor.
