Experience
*I have been teaching a senior seminar at Northwestern University for the past two years. This is a self-designed seminar that is geared towards the students in their senior year. Its objective is to: - make them reflect on the issues that pertain to the questions of representation and recognition in a globalized world. - enable them to pinpoint a topic of their own interest and formulate an interesting and relevant research question within an already existing literature. - give them an opportunity to present their literature review and a preliminary draft of their research papers and compose written peer reviews of each other's work. - build up the academic skills to design and execute a well-organized, engaging and relevant research paper. *I have been teaching Turkish classes for students in different levels ranging from the beginner to advanced. * I served as a teaching assistant for more than seven undergraduate level courses: 'Politics of International Human Rights', 'Global History', 'Political Theory and Moral Dilemmas', Introduction to Comparative Politics', 'Introduction to International Relations', 'Law in the Political Arena' and 'Introduction to Political Theory'. I Held one hour discussion session for each sections (minimum two) for each class during the entire quarter, graded all the papers and tests and assisted the Professors with their other needs for the class such as exam preparation and in-class lectures. *I completed the Searle Center for Advancing Learning&Teaching Certificate at Northwestern University.
