PhD in Statistics, STANFORD UNIVERSITY (already received),
graduate degree in Finance, Stanford Business School
| RATE: from $60 / hour
ExperienceI consult in Applied Statistics, Theoretical Statistics, Biostatistics, Probability, Econometrics, Statistical Arbitrage and Finance.
I have consulted researchers in the fields of Medicine, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Engineering and Finance at Stanford for 2 years. Have done the same in other parts of the U.S. for 6 years. Have taught more than 10 undergraduate, master's level and PhD level courses at Stanford over a period of 5 years. Have 4 years of industry experience.
I help with projects, exams, homeworks, presentations, experimental design, empirical research, dissertation defense, analysis of scientific articles and general understanding of the material.
I consult via S K Y P E (allows videoconferencing & screen sharing), e-mail and phone. Also, I provide detailed solutions to projects via e-mail. For details please refer to my consulting site:

The base rate corresponds to college level statistics and probability. Advanced material is likely to cost more. These are the
_______ RULES: 1] If you need a consultation on the hourly basis, then send me a tentative list of topics or a syllabus. I will then give you the hourly rate. Typically, a consulting session lasts at least 2 hours.
2] If you need me to do a project for you, send me a 2-3 paragraph description. If the project requires empirical analysis, send me a sample of the data, so that I could see the format. I will then give you a flat price for producing a detailed solution, including conclusions as a Word doc.
3] All work is done AFTER you have paid via PayPal. Under special circumstances, checks and money transfers may be acceptable. No cash.

We have worked on implementing / modifying a Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm in Matlab. After a couple of sessions, the algorithm runs smoothly and converges to an accurate solution within a reasonable time-frame. I'm quite happy with the results.
