| Experience: | For the past 9 years, I've been tutoring students in grades 3-12 & college (undergraduate and some graduate level) for many subject areas and national standardized tests like the ISAT, ACT, SAT, GED, GRE math, and Nursing Entrance Exams. I started out tutoring elementary school students and gradually increased the number and difficulty of the subjects I tutor for, as my education and experience developed. I enjoy tutoring because I love seeing the 'lightbulb' go on when students understand the material. In a typical tutoring session, you can expect me to gauge the student's strengths and weaknesses to assess his/her needs. I break down difficult concepts and help them integrate important study/prioritizing skills into their decision making outside the tutoring sessions so that they gain an overall increase in productivity and motivation. My goal is to help students excel beyond what's expected of them and become life-long learners. All my students show an improvement in their grades and attitude toward learning. And of course, I am also a learner in the process since each student brings something valuable to the table as well. Proofreading/editing essays and research available or a flat rate. Group tutoring is also available at special rates. I will try my best to work with you for scheduling/pricing. |
| Hobbies: | I enjoy playing the guitar and piano, both of which I've self-taught. I like reading autobiographies and fictional books that capture the imagination (like Harry Potter). Some of my favorite activities are biking along the lake, swimming, billiards, puzzles, and interactive board/video games. |

Sally is an excellent tutor. She does an excellent job of explaining concepts and providing ways for you to practice what you have learned. I highly recommend Sally. |

She was good while she was there, but she was late the first time and canceled 20 minutes into the tutoring session the next. She has also been having a crazy week with commencement and she also had to go to the hospital, so exceptions obviously have to be made, but this has been my experience so far. |

Sally is a great tutor and has helped me so much in understanding statistics. I have been struggling with this class for the longest time and she has had the patience to review things over nad over with me until I fully understood everything before moving on. |

After several tutoring sessions, my daughter developed a better understanding of the class materials for Physics. Sally W continued to work with my daughter for the remainder of the year. My daughter went from a very low grade at the mid term to earning an A at year's end. |
