I think that Mathematics is an extremely enjoyable and invigorating subject. What I find most fascinating about Mathematics is the application of logic and analysis it allows, as well as the intellectual stimulation it provides.

Ana was a great help to me in preparation for my viscous fluid flow and heat transfer class. She displayed mastery of the material, and came very well prepared to each session. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help with math related topics.
I have been working with Ana for the past several months preparing for the math section of the GRE. She has always come prepared to sessions and has always provided helpful materials. I have learned a great deal from her, and can say that I feel well prepared for the upcoming exam. I would highly recommend Ana for any type of math tutoring!
I scheduled private and semi-private GRE prep sessions with Ana. Ana is a great at explaining how to solve math problems. She is unbelievably quick to spot the best way to work through a problem. I am preparing to take the GRE and she gave me homework, told me what to expect on the exam, and helped me to practice all of the skills I will need during the math portion of the test. Ana was also very accommodating of my crazy work schedule.
Ana is a great tutor. She brings a level of professionalism to our meetings that encourages me to truly understand the material while moving at a productive pace. I recommend Ana to anyone who is serious about doing well in any academic pursuit. Her own academic background is also impressive. Best of luck to all- Dan W
I've been working with Ana for several weeks now in preparation for the Math Portion of the GRE. Given that we have only worked a short time together and I have not yet seen the final outcome of our efforts, I can only give Ana a preliminary rating of 4 Stars(though I suspect she will deserve 5 when the final results are evident). As such, I can say Ana is a great tutor. She is engaging, enthusiastic about teaching and most importantly, takes a personal interest in her student’s progress. Ana is also professional, she expects her students to arrive at sessions prepared to learn but she is in no way excessively strict or unpleasant as some other posts suggest. BOTTOM-LINE: If you are serious about enhancing your Mathematics skills and you are looking for a professional tutor that is intelligent, knowledgeable, personable and committed to her student’s growth, then Ana is an excellent choice.
Ana is very good at Math and very smart. But she is not respectful. I asked her a question about a Math problem, and she answered me, but I did not get what she was saying, so I laughed a little about the Math problem because I could not understand it. She then, asked me "What is funny" then said "There is nothing funny". She thought that I was laughing at her as she did not explain it quickly for me. But that was not the reason to laugh. I laughed about the Math problem; not about her. In short, Ana is very good at Math. But, not good at communication. I would recommend Ana if you are looking for a smart tutor, and do not care if she is not nice and do not smile. However, if you care about the personality, and the tutor's behavior, then, I would not recommend her.
Met with Ana several times over a few weeks to prepare for the math portion of the GRE. She was GREAT and after our sessions i was very prepared for the exam and did very well on it. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Fantastic… I was very short of knowledge and set up to fail my college algebra class. When I first meet Ana it was one exam and the final left, and the last ten days of class. She design a well prepares strategy for me to learn. She when back and forward, with all her patience, explain me the same material from different angles, until I was comfortable solving the exercises. My schedule was complicated, but she made the arrangements to fit it, and we meet several times. My knowledge was short at the beginning, but she filled with her extends knowledge. VERY IMPORTANT!!! IT ACCESSIBLE TO MY SLIM POCKET!!!! Final result: I PASS my class. THANK SO MUCH ANA!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!
Ana was fantastic. She's energetic and knowledgable. She helped me with my AP Calculus and was very patient. She covered everything I needed to know, and I learned a lot from her in the days I saw her. I highly recommend her, especially to struggling High School students.
I love Ana! I have been meeting with her for the last 3 weeks and have no complaints at all. She is the best, punctual and affordable compared to other rates on here, she always returns my emails prompltly. I will be meeting with her from now un until I am done with school! I highly recommend her, you won't regret it!!!!
Ana is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you will succeed. If it wasn’t for her there is no way I would have passed my algebra class. Ana was engaged, patient, and was a pleasure to work with. She always was punctual, and arrived early. She always had time for me in her schedule, and was willing to stay as long as I needed her. Ana was always prepared and eager to teach me despite the fact that math is my weakness, and I have great difficulty comprehending and applying algebratic formulas and equations etc. Math is Ana’s passion; math is first nature to her. I guarantee you she can do any equation with her eyes closed. I posit that Ana is a highly educated, highly skilled in her field, and has great interpersonal skills. She will show you how to work out your math problems, help you build your skills, explain reasoning, suggest and demonstrate study habits, help you with concepts ultimately so you can demonstrate these skills independently and in turn this will give you the confidence and determination you need necessary to excel in any classroom environment and beyond.
I took a tutoring session with Ana and found that she really knew her material. I enjoyed her tutoring, but do agree with the last poster that she did seem aggravated when I would need to rethink one of her explanations over or needed more time on a problem. I think she would be a perfect fit for any advanced math student, but believe that her mannerisms can be disrespectful and taken as if she doesn't want to be teaching simple math (such as pre-calculus in my case). Besides her attitude, she knows her material and showed me a few tricks on how to solve problems without all the extra work taught in many math classes.
Ana is a great tutor! She is very patient and thorough and I would highly recommend her to anyone else. I already feel that I'm progressing on my math studies and I have only met up with her two times so far.
This tutor as extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. She rolled her eyes and sighed whenever I got a problem wrong as well as layed her head down on the desk out of appeared boredom. She also checked her phone constantly for the time and to text while we were in the session. Finally, she tried to overcharge me for her services stating that I owed her $50 for our 2 hour session although on the University tutor site it said that she charged $20 an hour. Although she was so unprofessional, I tried to give her another chance and schedule another appointment. However, when I got the flu and contacted her that I could not make it, she yelled at me and said that I had better show up and that even if I couldn't stay for an entire two hour session I would be charged for it and I better pay for it. Needless to say I didn't come and she then sent a text to me calling me stupid and stating that no math tutor can help me. This tutor is bad news!
My son and I met this tutor and she was prompt with responding to my emails and on time for our session. However my son felt as if she seemed bored during the sessions, to the point where she would lay her head down on the table to explain certain problems. He also stated she would get irritated if he did not understand her explanations. Would not use again.
I met with Ana late in the semester after I encountered some difficulties with Calc III. she did contact me less than an hour after I had emailed her. She is very knowledgeable in any math subject. I would encourage anyone that needs help with any math or engineering to contact her. Thanks Ana.
Very reliable and thorough. I hired her to grade students for me in two finance classes, for both undergrads and graduate students, and she did her job with great enthusiasm, and turned out to be very flexible when I needed to change things at the last minute. Very positive and learns quickly, she seems to have superb work ethic.
